Picture of another chap on a penny farthing, this one is an original bike.A couple of weekends ago I rode in this event, an 18 mile ride through nice countryside in Worcestershire. I rode my penny farthing and although it's a replica nobody seemed to mind.
Thinking back to the previous post, the Knutsford great race, I am still confident that I can put in a good performance and maybe win the race. I've not been riding the penny farthing much but I have been going well in time trials on my tt bike. I've won 3 out of 4 club events this year and had a good placing in the Beacon little mountain 39.5mile hilly tt. With luck my cycling fittness will pass over to the penny farthing and I can do well in Knutsford!
